We are a virtual gathering of educators, parents, and community members concerned with the current conditions of the Montclair Public School system and the American education system at large. We oppose the heavy emphasis on testing and standardization that is reducing our children’s education to a small set of “measurable” skills at the cost of everything else: creativity, character development, free expression, foreign language learning, socialization, recess, and diversity within the classrooms.
